ABOUT EMILY

Emily Silver was born and raised in Montclair, New Jersey, where at the tender age of 16, she learned that a whole bunch of the adults in her life were connected to the mob. When her dad wasn't busy telling tales of title shops run out of restaurant basements, or of people trying to swindle him into importing massive amounts of cocaine, Emily was busy reading and watching television -- largely genre or family-based dramas. Her discovery of shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer made Emily realize her destiny was to write television.

After eighteen years in Los Angeles, building a career that has spanned one shipped video game https://store.steampowered.com/app/42670/Singularity/ , multiple pilots sold, creating and selling her first spec, FINDING CARTER, that went two seasons on MTV, writing many episodes of BONES, MESSIAH and The FLASH among others, Emily ran the final season of TNT's breakout hit, CLAWS. Most recently, she co- ran SOMETHING IS KILLING THE CHILDREN, a genre show for Netflix and wrote several Made for TV Movies.

Emily is currently making the transition back to video game writer/narrative designer, and is excited to use the skills she learned from years of working in television across many genres, as a show runner and as a member of a staff as well as through the Narrative Department Master Class. Emily is looking forward to demonstrating her strong draft writing, out of the box thinking, time management skills and ability to pivot, all while maintaining a healthy and enjoyable work environment.
